This 2-day (16 hour) course of instruction takes the individual officers skills to the next level.  The course begins where the basics left off.  We will dive deeper into the physical, physiological and Psychological responses that the individual officers will experience during a Critical Incident which will help to develop neural pathways to better equip officers to respond faster and more accurately.  This course will include lecture, dry-fire and live-fire exercises to continue building neural pathways that will allow for quicker response times during times of high stress.

Some of the topics covered will include: winning mindset, How the body will respond to high level of stress, Practice ways to mitigate stressors, shooting w/movement (forward, backward, laterally), focus on Fundamentals of shooting, proper use of cover/concealment, reloads: admin/tactical, clearing weapon/ammunition malfunctions, introduction to anatomically correct shot placement, Target discrimination, shooting from various positions to include shooting from the back while on the ground, creating distance from threats, and low light engagement just to name a few.

Equipment list: * Department issue firearm, *minimum of 3 magazines, * ability to carry magazines on person, * eye protection, * hearing protection, * Comfortable range clothes, * Body Armor, * headgear/ball cap, *600 rounds of caliber specific ammo, * gloves/knee pads (NOT REQUIRED BUT RECOMMENDED), * Ability to hydrate, * range bag, * weapons cleaning kit, * Spare batteries (for optics/flashlights etc.), * camp chair, * lunch.

12:00-1300 Lunch

1300 -1700 Back on range for training

1700 End of training day/debrief and prep for day 2.
